An apple a day keeps the doctor away? That may help, but there are many things you can do to keep your body and mind as healthy as it can be.

1-eat well-balanced meals (don’t skip meals), increase fiber by eating at least 4 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day.
2-drink plenty of water. Replace soft drinks with water. Try to drink 8-10 glasses per day. Water is good for the gastrointestinal system, the genitourinary system, and the skin.

3-get plenty of sleep 8-10hrs per night. It sounds like a lot, you say, and who can get that much sleep? Turn in a little early, here and there, it will add up. Soon you will start to feel better.
4-exercise. everything from golf, housework, biking, skating, dancing, whatever you enjoy. It all counts.
5-see your Dr. for regular checkups. “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”
6-Laugh! lighten up! enjoy! this will decrease stress, and keep your heart healthier. Learn to say “no”. Set limits for your life. You are only one person. Don’t burn your candle at both ends, or you will be just a lump of melted wax.
7-stay away from cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs.
8-cleanliness is next to godliness, personal hygiene will keep you from many potential diseases.

Don’t just follow these suggestions, live them. Healthy living is not a quick fix, it is a way of life.
